One Breath at a Time
The past 12 days have been a bit of a blur for me. After receiving a call saying your husband has been in accident, and we recommend you get here as soon as you can. During a time of crisis you need to remember to slow down, take a deep breath and try to relax. Easier said than done. Thankful that I know 3 dimensional breathing from practicing the art of pilates over the last year. Taking that deep breath in, filling the belly and lungs while exhaling out the stale hot air from inside allowed me to naturally calm myself. Now don’t get me wrong I had adrenaline pumping through my veins knowing I was going to have to make the late night drive to Los Angeles, California.
One major thing I have learned from this experience is hug your loved ones a little closer when you can. Life goes by within a blink of an eye. Try to be present in the moment, mindful and live life fully. Be thankful for everyday because it only takes one moment for your entire life to change.
